Who is Belial and what is Hell Rebel about and where does it take place.

The devil Belial lives in the corridors of Deep Hell as an infernal servant, and is a bit of a troublemaker. He is disliked by the guards, but popular with the other servants. He sometimes goes on forbidden expeditions to a crater on the surface of the earth.

In one, his friend Hagur also participates, but they are betrayed and ambushed by the guard Dhemor. He kills Hagur. A fight between Belial and the Overseer ensues. Belial almost falls, but discovers a deep-sleeping power within himself that has been awakened by the fight. He discovers that he can speak the ancient language of powerful devils and spit fire. With this, he defeats Dhemor and escapes.

Unfortunately, he is overtaken by a punitive expedition of hellish specters and flying skulls led by the specter lord Tartos. Belial is captured. Belial wakes up in a dungeon and is brought before the ruler of Deep Hell, Lucifer. He tries to defend himself and explain that he would just like a better life for himself and his fellows in deep hell. The speech is beautiful. Some time later, Belial ends up in the deepest dungeons of Deep Hell – to rot alive in a dungeon. And this is where the actual game begins.
